Michael Ivy, Pastor
Bro. Michael was born in Louisiana. He graduated from Monticello High School in 2007. At the age of 23, Bro. Michael realized his sin and gave his life to Christ. He also felt God calling him to ministry. His heart and passion for loving people where they are and leading them to Christ is evident in his daily walk. He married his childhood sweetheart, and they have 3 boys: Jaxson, Maddix, and Malachi.
Gary Powell, Minister of Music and Senior Adults
Bro. Gary was born in Tennessee, but moved to Arkansas before starting the third grade, so he considers himself an “Arkansan.” He graduated from OBU in 1988 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Church Music. He received his Master of Arts degree in Religion and Education from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in 1991. He married his wife, Norma, that same year, and they have served churches in Arkansas, Tennessee, New Mexico, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Since 2007, they have also been ministering as often as possible to the people of Romania. They have three daughters: Emily, Grace, and Bethany. Grace is married to Pedro Cervantes, and they have two sons and a baby on the way.
